The SONY a9 is a mirrorless model by SONY, with a stacked CMOS sensor. Launched in April 2017, it has been the talk of the photography town ever since. Reviewed by DxOmark, the camera seems to have the best sensor on the market right now, surpassing image quality of all others that the company has tested. DxOmark says the sensor is“one of the best we’ve tested at base ISO, with consistently good scores for dynamic range and color depth, and exceptional results for noise.

Speaking of the sensor of the a9 in its new review DxOmark says that the Sony a9’s sensor is “one of the best we’ve tested at base ISO, with consistently good scores for dynamic range and color depth, and exceptional results for noise.”

No wonder then, that we’ve been seeing many a professional choose this camera over other leading names in the market.
