Cinema camera makers RED has announced the release of the company’s first smart phone, the RED Hydrogen One. The Android based phone is being called the first “holographic media machine” for “multi-dimensional” images. It features a 5.7 inch holographic display which does away with the need for any special glasses to view multi-dimensional images.
The company claims, “This incredible retina-riveting display advancement features nanotechnology that seamlessly switches between traditional 2D content, holographic multi-view content, 3D content, and interactive games.”
TheRED Hydrogen One will also be able to capture images in multi-dimension, apart from displaying them! The phone can also be paired with RED’s popular cine cameras, as a command center. The camera phone is set to start shipping in early 2018, with two models priced roughly at 1200 US$ and 1500 US$ each…
